In the six weeks between now and the Iconic Houses Conference on November 25 at La Pedrera, we are featuring a key figure from the event in a special weekly series of Five Questions. This week: Elena Ruiz Sastre, director of the Ibiza Museum of Contemporary Art (MACE), and also responsible for Casa Broner.

Five questions for ... Elena Ruiz Sastre

Elena Ruiz Sastre will tell us about Casa Broner, the house that the German architect and painter Erwin Broner designed for himself on Ibiza in 1960. The house was built over a cliff and was influenced by Le Corbusier. In 2005 the Broner house was bequeathed to Ibiza's City Council.

Welcome Casa Broner!

After a period of careful restoration, Casa Broner opened to the public in 2010 to raise awareness on the legacy of Erwin Broner as artist and architect, to promote modern and contemporary architecture, as well as rural architecture and landscape of Ibiza and the Balearic Islands.
