Iconic Houses Conference at the Getty Center

Our final program is online! Early Bird registration is from 12 November to 31 December. Register early to avoid disappointment. The conference will be limited to 150 participants, because the houses we tour are spectacular but can only be toured with small groups. Hotel Angeleno blocked 60 rooms for us and can be booked already with a negotiated discount.

Welcome Maison Bernard!

On your South of France trip you can include now Maison Bernard, designed by Antti Lovag in the 1970s. In 2013, Maison Bernard became an endowment fund which purposes are the protection of Antti Lovag’s architectural work with Pierre Bernard and also a residence for artists.

Welcome David Wright House!

In 1950, Frank Lloyd Wright designed a home for his son David and daughter-in-law Gladys at the base of Camelback Mountain in Phoenix. Completed in 1952, it is one of three spiral designs realized by Wright, and the precursor to the Guggenheim Museum in New York City. It is his only built residence that uses this device.

Frida Kahlo’s life and art were rooted in the Casa Azul, the Blue House. Located in the charming southwestern suburb of Mexico City, Coyoacan, in this residence the artist was born and passed away. Her intimate universe seems to remain here and it is revealed to the spectator through her personal possessions.
