	The Melnikov House: our first Russian member! It is with great excitement that we welcome our first Russian member, the house of avant-garde architect Konstantin Melnikov (1890-1974) in Moscow. 	Welcome Casa Bofarull: a first Jujol! Casa Bofarull is a 17th century farmhouse in the village Pallaresos in Spain, renovated and extended between 1913-33 by architect Josep M. Jujol (1879-1949) for wine producers Dolores and Pepita Bofarull. The huge and rustic house became an elegant, comfortable and attractive mansion. Highlights are the large blue gallery, the vast arch of 10 meters width and decorative elements such as brittle on the roof and engravings made by Jujol. View on our map >>
	Kreeger Museum joins Iconic Houses network Designed in 1963 by Pritzker Prize winning architect Philip Johnson with Richard Foster, the Kreeger residence was built on five and a half wooded acres overlooking the nation’s capital. Pillars of the Washington DC arts and cultural community, the Kreegers' love of art, music and architecture live in the building today. The Kreeger Museum opened in 1994 and the Kreeger permanent art collection fills the upper and lower level galleries. View on our map >>
	De Kiefhoek in Rotterdam adorned with plaque! Slowly but surely, our distinctive black-and-white Iconic Houses plaques are multiplying among the historic homes that make up our membership. Fallingwater, Villa Tugendhat, Alvar Aalto's houses in Finland have them, as do Aalto's Maison Louis Carré near Paris. Villa Esche in Chemnitz, Casa Broner in Ibiza, the Van Schijndel House in Utrecht, Villa Stenersen in Oslo, and now also the Kiefhoek house museum in J.J.P. Oud's famous housing estate from the 1930s in Rotterdam. Read more >>
